Tutorial: How To Use Mood Themes
Instructions for how to put a mood theme on your journal can be found under the cut.  Please note that these instructions apply to paid and plus account holders only.  If you have a basic account, you first need to upgrade to a plus account.  You can downgrade again after you have set your mood theme.

MOOD THEME EDITOR

01. Download the zip file containing the images and then upload them all to your webspace.  If you don't have your own webspace, a service like photobucket.com would be recommended.  Don't change the names of the images.

02. Now go to the Mood Theme Editor and where it says 'create new theme' type in the title you want to call your theme.

03. Copy and paste the URLs for all 132 images into the appropriate box, making sure you remeber to put in the correct image size for each one so that they don't look stretched or squashed.  Save the changes.

04. Finally, click the 'use' button next to your new theme.

CONTROL PANEL

01. Download the zip file containing the images and then upload them all to your webspace.  If you don't have your own webspace, a service like photobucket.com would be recommended.  Don't change the names of the images.

02. Go to the
Admin Console and put this in the box: moodtheme_create "Title Of Your Theme" "Description Of Your Theme".  Change the title and description to whatever you want them to be.  Then press execute.  You will have been given a number, which you need to copy.

03. You will see that there is a text document in the zip file.  Open it.  Click on Edit-Replace and replace the number 202020 with the number you have just been given.  You also need to replace the URLs with those of your images.

04. Once you have replaced those, you need to copy everything in the text file and paste it into the admin console box.  Then press execute.

05. Finally, you need to tell Live Journal this is the theme you want to use.  You can do that either by going to the 'look and feel' section of your customise page and selecting the new theme from the list, or by going to the Mood Theme Editor
and clicking the 'use' button next to your new theme.

Please note that I wrote this tutorial myself.  Please don't reproduce it.  If you want to use it, you are welcome to link people here.
